COVID-19 Standards for studio classes

We are thrilled to reopen PPY to limited capacity and also continue to livestream all classes! To prevent the spread of COVID-19, PPY will adhere to specific guidelines based on the Governor’s Orders, as well as the OSHA “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19” and the recommendations from the CDC. While operating with limited capacity, we will continue to offer livestreamed classes to our tribemates still at home. Please review the guidelines on this page to have the most optimal experience as we work to regrow our in-person classes.

Pre-Class Screening

All students must answer the following questions before entering:

  • Have you had a cough or shortness of breath in the last 24 hours?
  • Have you had a fever over 100.4 in the last 24 hours?
  • Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
  • Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, we will not be able to allow you to enter PPY.

Frequently asked Questions

Before Covid 19, our staff had an extensive cleaning routine every day to keep our studio clean and sacred. We have added even more measures pursuant to CDC guidelines to keep everyone safe from Covid 19.

The studio classes will be capped at 9 for now, so we are stream-lining our class offerings to our specialty: Power Flow and Slow Power Flow. If a class is full, hopefully you can get signed up for another class at a different time the same day and get the same amazing power practice.

Yes, we are running the heat at 90 degrees, but we have suspended our towel service at this time. Feel free to bring your own towels.

With the support of our loyal members, we did not need to lay off any PPY employees or reduce pay for any of our teachers. Some PPY staff and teachers chose other options over the last 8 weeks, but most of the PPY Tribe is back in the studio and so excited to see you again!

Fortunately, we have enough space to distance mats 10 feet apart and still allow 9 students in each class. Most classes will also include a teacher and one yogi from our PPY desk staff.

Instead of the yellow dot stickers, please line the front of your mats inside the corners of the yellow tape.

Our desk staff may be wearing masks, but the teachers will not wear masks while teaching, as it is difficult to orate for 60 minutes while wearing a mask.
